Class Description

This course involves a step-by-step process to learn exciting new techniques for creating a custom costume for any doll. The focus will be on fabric and trim selection, balancing colors and learning how to design and sew a unique costume using Adele’s draping methods. Adele’s objective is to have every student walk away with a greater understanding of creative costuming. This class will give you the tools for creating a costume and help you get over any fear you may have of mixing of fabrics, textures, colors and trims. Each student will be required to make a basic body before the class, for which Adele will provide the pattern. The pattern will be appropriate for all experience levels. Students will not have to paint the face or put on any hair unless they want to, once the costuming is done.
